HL before delivery
Hi fellow KKH mummies, wondering if anyone had experience getting HL before delivery? I’m in the midst of planning my leave and wondering whether I would need to use my ML for the 1-2 weeks of leave before delivery. Is HL a common thing or should I just plan to use ML?
Hi there! During my first pregnancy early last year and due date was in Nov 2024, I'm still a working mum during that period and I always experience pain here and there so I decided to ask a few times in every checkups for HL before my ML, but the Doctor said they unable to do that and that's not under their protocols. Unless your company allows you to start earlier, which is the same you will still need to use just ML. Hope this help! ☺️
Read moreI manage to get HL from KKH 2 weeks before the edd. Gynae didn’t ask much when I ask for it, just asked how long do I want to start taking. But I did let gynae know that I’m experiencing more Braxton hicks. Perhaps good if you can let gynae know some of the third tri pregnancy difficulty you are experiencing as well.
Read moreomg i am also wondering if they would give HL. commuting to work and back is so hard. and my office and house is a long journey back. my office only gave me 1 day wfh per week and expects me to go office til my labor. T.T
We just asked for HL 1 week before delivery date and was rejected by doctor. They say you need to be very 'serious' to get HL leave. I am a subsidised patient. maybe thats why
