I think as long as there's no disrespect or mocking tone in the way they said it, then it should be ok and it's not really offensive. Though I also think it's an opportunity for us to teach them more. Like, I'd probably tell my lo "Yes, baka dahil nagkasakit sila or maybe got into an accident. It's also challenging for them to walk kaya when we see them and they need help, tulungan natin sila." ..."Yes, grandma is old kaya we should always help them if they need it, and also always be polite and respectful to elders." ...it can also be an opportunity to teach them to be considerate in saying such things out loud as others might find it offensive, etc ☺️
Hi, Mama Sol here. Ang mga bata sa ganitong stage ay sinasabi lang kung ano ang nakikita nila. So what I do sa kindergarten kong anak, mas tinatanong ko sya kung ano ang interpretation nya sa nakikita nya para mawala din yung personal bias or I can answer things without malice. Dapat natin tandaan our kids mind now is an empty can, so how we explain things will greatly influence how they will see things po. ' Napansin mo pala iyon anak. May gusto ko ba Malaman about it?' Hindi ko rin ini encourage agad ang emphaty kasi ayaw ko na puro awa lang maramdaman ng anak ko for them and maiwasan ang assumption agad that the other party requires help. 🙂
huwag niyo po correct momshie kasi di niya ma distinguish ang tama at mali, pero pwede mo siya remind na every time may sasabihin siya ask na muna niya ikaw if pwede sabihin ng malakas or mahina lang
Nope.. curious kasi toddlers natin kaya ganon 😊 turuan nalang natin sila maging respectful.
Oo nga mii. Minsan kinakabahan ako sa sobrang curious na nya. Hehe. Pero siyempre it's good thing as she is learning. I just need to equip myself with answers that she can understand.
