Travelling when pregnant

Hi everyone! Has anyone travelled multiple flights during a trip when 20+ weeks pregnant? I'm going for a holiday and heading to 3 countries all by which i need to take a plane multiple times over a period of 18 days. The flight to and from SG is quite long about 12 hours but between the other countries it takes abt 2-3 hours. Total will be taking 6 flights altogether. I can't change the name on the flight ticket and if i don't go, its thousands thousands of dollars wasted. Gynae did not say I couldn't go but am just thinking what to do. For my own mental well being, i really want to go for one last trip before baby is born but if anything were to happen due to the multiple flights or anything happens overseas, i will also regret. Am at such a loss and any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I travelled when I was 24 weeks and though it wasn't as long as your trip, I did feel very tired with all the walking, so best to take short breaks while you can and don't make your itinerary too full. My husband of course was very understanding too. I sat business class and tbh it still wasn't the most comfortable flight as my stomach was already making me feel quite breathless, so as much as you can, try to walk often/wear compression stocking during your flight. Don't sit for too long if you can help it.

Just take it slow and plan a very chill itinerary😊 agree with others - wear compression stockings on flights and at nights before sleep (it helps after a long day of walking), get enough rest whenever u can, do not lift or carry heavy items (leave the luggage to husband!), best not to not eat raw salad, smoked meat, and soft cheese in europe cities. Keep an open mind and just enjoy the precious couple time with hubby! Happy mummy happy baby🥰

On the flights, you'll need to make sure that you get up frequently and get your blood to circulate well. Get a aisle seat too, you'll be running to the toilet pretty frequently. I went for a week long trip to tw at about 5 months along, so not as long as yours, but it can be quite tiring especially with the walking. Just take frequent breaks if you're tired. You'll also need a letter from your gynae certifying that you're fit to travel.

hi! i went to London, Switzerland and Italy when i was 5mths pregnant haha. did flight and train. better to take aisle seat. do a lot of walking. and easily removable shoes. when you're tired during your trip from walking, rest. if you can, i suggest cabbing between places in a country. it can be really tiring and can have aching back and feet. not good cause will argue with husband hahaha.

i did take flights during my pregnancies but not multiple or long like urs... since u mentioned to ur gynae & she did not advise u not to go, shd b fine tho... wishing u the best 🙏💕

Try not to take any carbonated or caffeinated drinks on the flight too as it may trigger bloating! Wear compression leggings and remember to massage your legs regularly. Enjoy your trip!

I flew at 21 weeks and got a letter from gynae. Wear compression socks during flights also helped
