This is just a phase they will go through. One of the reasons can be teething , the gums are sore and making them uncomfortable hence they don't want to drink. Another reason is they are more aware of and distracted by the environment and finds it difficult to absorb the environment and drink milk at the same time initially. Once they get past this they will resume to their normal drinking amount. Oh by the way you do clean your baby's tongue and gums with wet cloth daily right? Because if you don't the tongue may have the buildup of the milk and this may also cause them to lose interest in drinking milk.

Ya I suspected it's teething too but this has begun since he's ard 4mths plus.. Yes we clean his mouth and tongue daily too

Yes :) Don't worry. It is quite common behavior but u need to figure out what is the cause behind it if it's only milk strike. If only milk strike, some parents resort to force feeding which is a long and tiring process or just smaller quantities at higher frequencies It could also be teething (put teething gel) or teat issue U may want to also consider starting some solids :)

Thank u! Was having real headache cos last time my elder child's milk strike is not as bad as this 2nd one lol He's basically feeding on demand thou it's formula milk

Experience b4 w my LO. I tried changing to another formula for a short while in case she is bored with the current one. And it works. And after that I change back to the usual one. If it is due to teething, try apply some teething gel. :)

Thank u! We try to change his teat still the same haha

My baby experienced the same thing at ard 5 months too. But since he is growing well, there is no cause of concern... Now he is coming 7 months, the amount of milk did not increase but I have added in solids for him...
