It depends on the program i will be having. If it's a long day out, i will bring along my helper as i have two kids. I don't want to be arguing with my husband about who is going to feed or handle the kids while we are out. It can be a little stressful going out without an extra hand IF your husband isn't so pro-active when comes to kids handling. Always discuss with your husband on the arrangement. Maybe your family/husband prefers some time alone without the helpers. But if it's a quick outing for a simple meal, i will leave my helper at home.

I think this depends a bit on the program. On one hand, we bring her along if we think she will enjoy it what we do, including social events / BBQs. We usually leave that up to her. On the other hand, we think the weekend belongs to herself, so she deserves a break (esp Sundays). She is very active on weekends doing sports and other activities.

For me personally, I would bring my helper along because I would want her to be a part of the family so that she doesn't feel like she's only our employee. Also, as mummy Jorelle as mentioned, having an extra set of hands would come really handy especially during meal times!

We currently don't have a nanny. But if we do have, I will certainly will bring them because we'll consider them as a family member. But if it's a date with my wife, of course she'll be left home because we'll not bring our baby with us so we can enjoy our date.

I take my nanny for family get togethers/ parties where i need to socialise and she can take care of my daughter. But i dont take her if its just going out with my daughter n husband coz thats 'our family time'

Depends on what we're doing and where we're going. We did so more frequently when the kids were younger, less so now they are older.

Now my kids are in their tweens / teens, I still often ask if she’d like to come along as part of the family and invite her along to movies / theatres / concerts that she’s interested in.

sure, as she can also buy some of her personal things during the trip outdoors.
