Do pacifiers have an effect on tooth development? My 2-month-old can't sleep without his paci and I'm worried that he's getting too attached to it.

Yes, prolonged use of pacifiers have an adverse effect on teeth development, which is why I refrain from using it. Increased pacifier use is also linked to ear infections and speech and language problems.
