Same here. After giving birth, my O.B. gave me a go signal to take a bath. However my in-law told me about "binat". After 1 week I experienced severe back pain and difficulty breathing. My in-law confirmed that it was "binat" and immediately scheduled me for "hilot" but when I consulted the doctors (OB & ER doctor), they told me that my body is just adjusting since I'm also breastfeeding. So I'm not sure if I should be scared that I did not listen to my in-law. Some say that there are people who died because of "binat".
I still believe in science and medicine as opposed to these pamahiins. Maybe because I grew up with my mom not believing in those as well. However, having my first baby is easy for me to be vulnerable, a bit gullible, and fearful even. It is hard to ignore other people bombarding you with folklores galore. Still, I put my fears aside and read medical articles from reliable websites and read pregnancy and first-time mom books a lot.
yes and no. my extent na Hindi na Kasi OA na yung iba. ultimo konting kibot ko "bawal yan!" Wla nman sense, may mga phenomenon n Hindi maexplain siguro dun lng, Yung iba Kasi ginagawa n lng excuse and lahat kinakabit sa binat kahit my scientific reason nmn. haha kaya lalo napapahamak tpos sa huli kesyo binat at lamig🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ nakaka ubos ng buhok.
If related to giving birth, not really. It's because I've given birth twice via CS and never followed nor experienced any of these. When I came from the hospital, I took a bath with warm water, no herbs, no nothing. I didn't get the chance to have hilot also because I gave birth via CS nga, so the hilots in our place didn't want to do anything until a year or so daw.
Nope. Unlearned all those things when I got older kasi kung totoo syang nangyayari, dapat sa ibang bansa, ibang culture nangyayari din sya. Kung totoo sila, it should have a logical explanation. If by hilot you mean massage then ok lang, there's prenatal massage that can help alleviate pain related to pregnancy.

kung prenatal massage, then yes!
