Did you know that breastmilk has different colors?

Different colors of Breastmilk: 1. Colostrum (Yellow/Orange) - It's the first form of milk after the delivery of the newborn. We have to make sure na maiinom to ni baby kasi it contains antibodies that will protect them against diseases. 2. Transitional Milk (changes from yellow to white) - Ganito usually ang milk from around 5 days - 2 weeks following the baby's birth. Eto naman yung form ng milk na rich sa protein. 3. Mature Milk - Foremilk (Clear/Blue); Hindmilk (White/Cream colored) - High in fat and calorie. Ang difference ng Foremilk sa Hindmilk is eto yung nakukuha ni baby at the start of feeding while yung hindmilk, nakukuha ni baby at the end of the feeding. Mas creamier tignan yung hindmilk. 4. Green/Red - Pwedeng effect ng mga kinakain natin. Kapag Red, it can also be due to a blood from a cracked nipples. 5. Darker colors - Can be an effect of taking medications. Make sure to let an expert know if you take any medications to ensure na safe sya para kay baby. So there. Kayo, mga ka-TAP? Patingin naman ng color ng BM ninyo. 😚
