I like the concept of Ayurveda an would definitely opt first for an alternative medicine remedy before opting for western medicine. You can run it past your doctor, but I'm most certain that it will be met it negativity. That being said, some doctors are pretty open to alternative medicine options depending on what you are trying to treat.
