Your baby may have been sleeping well, but now with each passing month, the excitement will grow. As a result, your baby will want to stay up more and do more! Of course you will have to indulge your baby in various activities that will stimulate the senses and help your baby learn. But you will also have to maintain a routine, so that your little one gets enough sleep. I would suggest you start by reducing the duration or frequency of the day time naps. Also, even if your baby isn't interested in sleeping, carry out the routine activities such as giving a bedtime bath, reducing noise and light in the room and patting your little one. Do these at the same time everyday. Gradually, your baby will get accustomed to the routine and it will aid sleep.

Hi, During this stage the child's development is its highest order so at times the sleep gets disturbed. The child starts teething, is preparing for crawling, trying to pick up so many new words. So basically the child's mind is working like crazy and the sleep pattern may get disturbed. I think, you can make the baby play with his favourite toys or play soothing music to prepare him for sleep. Also make sure that baby's tummy is full before you put him to sleep. Babies also wake up before time if they are hungry. Also, sleeping patterns of babies keep changing till two years so you have to patient till he sets his permanent routine.

As baby's grow their sleep patterns change. Ur kid is an individual who understands how much she needs of sleep, food comforts etc. Their bodies r still in development phases and so they need the right amount of everything but how much of the right amount...only they can decide. U need patience and understanding and to see that all u can do is to provide the support and stimulus. Her environment will decide too. So be patient. Keep a routine of eating habits and time for sleep. Ensure that the room is cool, peaceful and dim light Ed. Create an atmosphere where she will lull herself to sleep and do tht regularly.

your baby is growing up and is getting more and more active. as a result she will want to stay awake more and play more :) let her stay busy with different activities and get exhausted. but also maintain the sleep routine, by putting her for a nap and a sleep at the same time each day. she will nap for lesser time during the day as she grows up, but make sure you try to give her some rest. for night, help her relax by giving a nice warm bath and massage and reducing all sounds and light.
