Smell in the ear

My baby is 2 months plus. We realised his ears has an unpleasant smell for the pass few weeks despite washing and drying the ears after bath. Is that normal? Should i use cottonbud to dig his ear or something?

Do not dig their ears with cotton buds (or any other objects, in short don’t need to dig the interior of their ears), it will only push whatever is inside deeper. … Just clean the exterior with cloth or cotton balls. If you’re concerned about the smell, it’s probably due to excess fluids in the ears, can bring to PD and ask them to help with removal/cleaning of wax inside.
