Asking on behalf of a friend: My LO who is 2 wks old has been refusing to sleep at night (starting from this week) and all he wants is just to latch on. He has been drinking so much milk that his tummy is bloated and spits out milk everytime i burp him. Problem is whenever i pull him away from my breast, he starts to cry and shout for milk. I will end up have to feed him again. Hubby and I is very tired having to pacify him every night. Any idea what could be wrong with my LO? Should i bring him to see PD?

Ur baby is comfort latching. Consider giving pacifier - it will save ur sanity. Don't worry abt nipple confusion because it won't happen(they will know which gives milk and which doesn't). Next time some children gradulllh outgrow it themselves or u just stop giving to them when older Btw, ur baby sounds like also in a growth spurt phase. There is one at 2-3 wks and again at 4-6 wks and at 3 months and so on and so forth. During such time they will be more fussy and may want more comfort latching
