Anyone knows about the "unang subo" pamahiin? I.e. If you want your child to be intelligent, let an intelligent adult give the first solid food to your baby.

I've never heard of this myth, but what I've come across before is that elders believed the first hair that's cut from a baby should be kept in a book or a bible. Well, if this means no harm and if this will make the elders satisfied and respected then so be it, right?
