i am in my 3rd trimester now, following up with her since day 1 because my husband requested for a lady doctor as not to feel awkward if its a male gynae. i felt that in my own experience, she is firm and straight forward. but i was expecting her to understand me even more like my worries and concern. she did not attend to your queries if u have alot of questions in mind to ask as i tried a few times asking her whenever im in doubt, but she doesnt seems to be sensitive towards my well-being. like she didnt even bother to see if ure feeling alright eventhough all the scans seems normal n no abnormal, emotionally i am anxious and sad but she did not bother to care. all my questions being brushed away like as if its not important. she might ask u any questions to ask, but when u asked her, all she said was, its fine n its alright. i feel like she didnt look deeper into the matter. i feel so disappointed and upset as all the questions i want to ask is not satisfying and not being answered.

Dr Tan Wei Ching is doing all my detailed scans and growth scans as I have a low PAPP-A and doctors were worried that baby would have T18 Edward's syndrome. So was referred to the High Risk Clinic. She's extremely fast and professional and a specialist in doing the scans and explains which part of the baby we're seeing even though all we're seeing is a mess of black white and grey 😅 we tried to ask her if she could be our doctor but she kindly said that the doctors in the high risk clinic would deliver me. Sad that she can't be my attending doctor to deliver me, but I'm glad she's the one doing the scanning to make sure my baby is growing well. Her scans always some out super on point.

Dr Tan Wei Ching at SGH is competent and not one of the knife happy ones. But as expected in a publicly funded hospital, do not expect 5-star attention. Some obgyns, especially the female ones, have been known to see 40-50 patients a day. An overbooked clinic means waiting time can stretch to 3 hours.

My friend's newborn daughter had water in her kidneys. She had her little girl checked by Dr Tan Wei Ching. My friend says that despite Dr Ching's popularity, she scans her own patients which means she is very hands on!

Dr Tan Wei Ching did my wife scan. She was very clear & concise. She went into very detailed explanation to give us the options we had.
