Any reviews on Ameda breast pumps?

My friend is using this and she likes it but it broke down pretty quickly. Perhaps it could be due to the fact that she kept it in storage until the birth of her second child 5 years later. I then introduced her to Spectra, which she found to be comparable.

I purchased this brand before and sold it after few tries because I find it very painful with the suctions. I switched back to my medela manual pump.
