Any concern if I feed my 16m child bird's nest?

I used to have a Chinese elderly neighbour who looks after her grandson while his parents are out to work. If she had some extras, she would give my daughter some. She said that she had brewed it for her grandchild and that it was good for the body. My daughter was then about 3 years old and her grandchild was almost 2 years old then. My daughter took it pretty well and never had any reactions.
