Ano ang benefits sa pag join sa PTA meetings? Essential ba siya para sa mga parents? What are your thoughts?

My mom or dad never missed a PTA meeting during my sibs and I grade school and high school days. The main benefit is that parents get to know the progress and what not of their kids in school as the teacher normally have a 1 on 1 discussion with the class adviser. Also, parents esp in public schools get to know what are the things the students would need in terms of facilities. We all know that gov't funds for school is just enough. So during PTA meetings parents brainstorm on how they can address the issues and raise funds also that will somehow lift the burden of the teachers and students.
