41yr old trying to get pregnant

Hi all...is it advisable not to get pregnant at this age 40 to 42?

I wouldn’t say it’s a definite contraindication... there will no doubt be higher risks of complications and down’s as maternal age rises, but there have been plenty of successful smoothsailing pregnancies in this age group as well. It’s not a hard and fast “no”, more of a “higher risks involved, but if you accept that, then may need closer monitoring, may need to take care of yourself more” thing. Talk to your obstetrician :)

No doubt with age, pregnancy will be seen as high risk statistically, but there have been many successful stories. Seems like 40s is the new 30s like that. All the best!

If you both really love kids, just try. There have been successful stories. Yes, there are risks, but we won’t know. Praying for you.

Age is just a number 😉 my 1st pregnancy at 40, 2nd pregnancy at 42
