Newborn sleeps in different room, adult STTN. Will not entertain throughout to sleep train
He is on his own 6 hours minimum. Any issues
Hi, my baby has been in his own room since he came home. Only shared room with nanny during confinement. We have cctv to monitor and we respond accordingly when he wakes up in the middle of the night for milk or comfort. Newborns generally need night feeds unless your PD gave the green light to drop them. So do consult your PD to see if he is growing well before dropping night feeds. In any case, they should also be fed around every 4-5 hours at night during the newborn stage. As new parents, you must be exhausted. Take care! sleep training is not just about STTN. It is also about falling asleep independently. At the newborn stage, it's best to respond to baby in case of hunger or illness. Before Sleep Training, you can start by giving baby a conducive sleep environment and practise good sleep hygiene. Take care!
Read moreYou can sleep train your baby, but please don't let her cry and soothes him/herself to sleep, as it is bad for baby development. When i sleep train my baby, if she cry, i will let her have pacifier, if till.to.a point where pacifier cannot soothes her, i will feed her milk. if your baby is big enough, like around 1 year old, you can try to like your kid sleep in different room. But if your baby is just newborn, it better to let your baby sleep in the same room with you so that you can attend to his or her needs.
Read moreyes there are issues... what if the newborn didnt cry out loud for milk? i encountered once (&once is enough), the pillow somehow flip to my bb mouth and there was muffled cries which thankfully i woke up to because we were in the same room and help her. it was freaking scary!!! what if blanket loosen up and bb move position and somehow couldnt cry loudly for help. please put newborn in the same room with you
Read moreNot advisable. Newborn needs to be monitor closely. Pls bring your newborn to your room. Put him/ her in the cot, in your room. No such thing as you STTN when they’re still newborn
Understand your concerns but to train newborn to sleep on their own is abit too early. Putting them in a babycot is already a way of teaching them to sleep independently.
I actually sleep train my baby when she is around 1 month old, but she slept with us. So in case she need her milk in the middle of the night we can provide her.
why are u so cold towards ur newborn? he is a baby for goodness sake 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
how old is baby? i wouldnt advise to leave alone to sleep train as they might really have needs and u ignore it
Infant will be alone in the room? What if the baby wakes up crying in the middle of the night for milk?
