How do I stop breast milk production ASAP. Been exclusively pumping for abt 5months now. But due to meds i need to stop.

You can follow the website below for the suggestion. https://www.medela.us/breastfeeding/articles/how-to-wean-from-pumping-and-let-your-pump-go For me, when I wean off pumping, I decrease the pumping session from 5 times a day to 4 times then to 3 times then to 1. It takes time as if you wean off too fast it may result in engorged breast. Before you start weaning off, do ensure that your baby is ok with formula milk. Diluted breastmilk

My breastmilk looks like barley water. More watery than fatty and also high lipase (doing the scalding method). Feeling so down with both. Sigh..... Any tips or methods on how to increase fats in breastmilk? #advicepls #breastmilk

Try to pump longer to get the hindmilk. If still very watery, can try taking Legendairy supplements. I'm personally taking Cashcow and Milkapalooza. Now my milk has a thick layer of fat. For me, eating avocados and drinking its juice also help to enrich my milk.

Oh also to add, babies don’t quite have a circadian rhythm yet - that is they don’t have fixed sleep cycles. Because they CAN sometimes forget to breathe, they have lighter sleep rather than deep sleep patterns. Often when baby is sleeping you’ll see some rapid eye movement under their closed eyelids. Not going into a deep sleep also prevents SIDS. This is why they only sleep for short hours and take quick naps through the 24 hour day. You can help settle them into a rhythm by making sure the house is brightly lit and there’s lots of noise in the day and darkening and quietening the house in the evening to help baby along.

Leaking Milk at 32 weeks

Yes sounds like it. Just wipe it off, don’t try to express the milk as it may cause contractions and potentially lead to early labor

Only can hand express but not pumping

Delivered via e C-section, only managed to hand express milk from day 5 onwards with engorged breasts but the consistency is unlike colostrum. Did I missed the golden period? And I only able to squeeze out milk via hand express but not pumping. Hands getting sore. Is this normal at the beginning? #handexpress #breastmilk

seems like colostrum to me! don’t worry! it’s fine! keep stimulating your boobs. try using manual pump instead of hand expressing which causes more pain and swollen nipples :( do note that once your colostrum period is gone your breastmilk will be more towards white in colour.
