Oh also to add, babies don’t quite have a circadian rhythm yet - that is they don’t have fixed sleep cycles. Because they CAN sometimes forget to breathe, they have lighter sleep rather than deep sleep patterns. Often when baby is sleeping you’ll see some rapid eye movement under their closed eyelids. Not going into a deep sleep also prevents SIDS. This is why they only sleep for short hours and take quick naps through the 24 hour day. You can help settle them into a rhythm by making sure the house is brightly lit and there’s lots of noise in the day and darkening and quietening the house in the evening to help baby along.

We thought baby wanted more coz she was also crying previously and ended up overfeeding. She cant sleep well and is always Awake after midnight and turns out she probably has colic…

Hi JC, Breastmilk is thinner and more easily digested. Also, baby’s tummy is small and cannot store as much milk - how old is baby May I ask?

At 1 month, baby’s stomach is the size of a large egg. Also, they will go through lots of developmental changes during the first three months - you’ll notice baby being fussy, cluster feeding, feeding more often than usual and so on. This is normal and rest assured, it’s a phase that will pass. It might seem that the days are long and the nights are longer but stay strong!
