When is the earliest that you found out your baby's gender through a scan? I heard if you are carrying a boy, it's easier to find out earlier? 😆

Hi, can i check anyone who is an existing Type 2 diabetic patient is currently pregnant and is attending your appointment at KKH STORK clinic? May i know how frequent were your appointments are? Were they more frequently as compared to the usual Clinic C?

Need words of encouragement

I really need some words of encouragement. I’ve just tested positive for pregnancy — this is my second pregnancy after going through two miscarriages (a blighted ovum and a chemical pregnancy), so my emotions are all over the place. On top of that, I’m managing Type 2 diabetes and taking Metformin 850 mg three times a day. Being in my first trimester is mentally exhausting. I’m constantly hungry, yet I have very little appetite. I’m also being very strict with my food choices because I’m afraid of causing a glucose spike. I’ve been eating clean and sticking to healthy snacks and meals, but it’s starting to feel so limiting and repetitive. I’m getting tired of the same foods, and it’s making everything feel even harder 😭

Fungal infection

Hi! This is my 2nd pregnancy and i'm experiencing fungal infection down there, it's really very itchy and i'm trying my best to not scratch myself. I don't experience this for my first so this is my first time having it the whole of my life. I know this is somewhat quite normal but i just want to check if anyone here had back-to-back recurring infection? I just completed 6 days of canesten pessary last week and the infection came back again this week and i'll be on another round of the pessary again 😭

Hey! I’m also pregnant and had a similar issue a few weeks ago, constant itching that just wouldn’t go away down there. My gynae, Dr Regina of GynaeMD Clementi, said it’s common during pregnancy and reminded me to stick to gentle hygiene habits and avoid anything scented down there. After following her advice and finishing the treatment, it finally settled down.

Going for a massage

Hi, i'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and my whole body is very sore and aching.. I know the "safe" time to go for a body massage is after 20 weeks onwards but i'm really feeling very tired.. Is it really not safe to go for a massage during this period? 😅

When do you start to show up for second pregnancy?

Hello! May i know how early do you all show up for second pregnancy? I'm asking coz i'm only at 6 weeks but colleagues (i'm in Early Childhood sector and colleagues that are from other classes) are starting to ask if i'm expecting.. I personally don't think i'm showing that obvious at this point.. Although i read that it's possible to show up earlier for second pregnancy but i don't think it's as early as now. I wore loose clothings just like how i was as before. I haven't let my management knows too, planning to tell im about 2 weeks as i went for a scan few days ago and only yolk sac was seen, heartbeat not yet, probably can only be seen next visit. I want to keep it as low as possible as this will be my rainbow baby but it can get quite overwhelming 😅

When did you inform your company that you are expecting?

Hi! May i know when is a good time to share with your company that you are pregnant? Is it after first trimester? I have worked in current company for 2 years and this is my second pregnancy. First one was with a different company and this will be my rainbow baby so i am very careful this time. Also, is it normal if some days i feel light cramps and some days i don't feel cramps at all? I felt like i'm overthinking by not feeling the cramps all day long 🫣

Is this an positive test kit?

Hi, so were trying for a 2nd child for quite awhile now and have been on leterozole for 1 cycle. I need more pair of eyes to see if it's really a double line? My period was supposed to come yesterday (9th Feb) and i get it tested with an Early Detection test kit. Tomorrow morning i'll test with the ClearBlue test kit again to confirm. Update: I tested on Clearblur and it is indeed i'm pregnant. Thank you so much all! ✨

Manual breast pump

Hi Mummies, I’m a ftm going to be due soon in 2-3 weeks and looking to breastfeed my baby as much as possible. I understand that for ftm milk supply may kick on slightly later. I read online that colostrum is enough for newborn as their intake is not that much during their first few days. Is it true that in order to collect the colostrum, i must hand express manually using a manual pump because baby won’t be able to suck as it is thick? I already have Spectra S1- i read that it’s not advisable to use an electric pump as it will leads to oversupply right? Any advice from experienced mummies are welcome for me to understand better.. Thank you 😊

Hi, if you are having leaking from 34 weeks onwards, you may collect the colostrum using a cup and store it using syringes. From week 37 onwards, you may try hand express it.
