Maternity insurance

Hi there has anyone had prior PPROM - preterm premature rupture of membranes experience and unable to apply for maternity insurance? Have tried prudential, AIA, Manulife to no avail. Previous pregnant was terminated at 18 5 weeks as water bag burst. Can anyone share your experience applying for insurance for subsequent pregnancy? TIA!

I’m not sure whether PPROM in past pregnancies will undermine your chances of getting covered w maternity insurance this time round. But I know maternity insurance coverage is very little for the amt of premium you pay. It’s not enough to cover any pregnancy caused life and death critical conditions. And it is very hard to claim from maternity insurance (your condition must be almost death kind of situation then can claim). The better approach is to make sure you have sufficient hospital and surgical insurance coverage via medishield. It will cover u for much more.

spotting brown stains

Hi mummies I just took a pregnancy test last week and it’s positive. However I have spotting for a week now, brownish stains (small amounts) tgt with cramps here and there. Is this something I should be worried about? #advicepls

Small amounts of brown discharge with a more watery or jelly-like consistency are common, especially in early stages of pregnancy. It is also normal to have a little dark discharge after sexual intercourse, but if you have noticed that the discharge doesn't have these characteristics, you should go to the doctor.

#advicepls Hi there. I have recently experienced preterm premature rupture of membranes at 18 weeks + 5 days last year in December. Cause is unknown. Currently still healing from the loss and slightly worried for the next try, but would like to know if anyone experienced the same. Hubby and I would like to consider trying for second pregnancy in a few months and would like to know if there any additional precautions we should take for the next one? My gynae shared that he will do a cervical cerclage at 12-14 weeks of next pregnancy. Anyone has experience with this procedure and any successful full term deliveries after? Thank you very much in advance

Other symptoms are normal signs for pregnant women ..I suggest you eat less starchy food and eat foods that are rich in fiber.
