perineal pyramidal protrusion

Hi, anyone have toddler with this before? Its a small lump at the anus due to constipation, happened on girls usually. Does it go away itself? Or must see doctor for treatment?

4 month vaccination

Hi nurses/ mummies, If my LO is going for his 4 month compulsory vaccination in 2 days’ time, and he is having diarrhoea, can he take the vaccination? Or must it be postponed. As I understand, some dose must be taken within a certain period.

Hi, Due to the nature of babies either getting tired or fussing a little more after vaccinations, I’d suggest waiting. If it’s delayed by a few weeks it’s perfectly alright. But you can check with a GP if you’d like to be sure :)

3 months old drinking 2 times a day

My 3 months old only drank at 1 AM (90ml) and 12 PM (100ml). After this, he hasn’t been drinking, he is refusing milk. Today whole day consumption only 190ml. Anyone has experience on this? Will this last for a day only or? His diaper output is only about 3 or 4 today.

This does sound quite little, if it's a leap it would only last a couple days at most. I'd monitor first, if after 2 3 days he still drinks only this little you should see a PD

Automated yaolan/spring cot

Hello mummies, Anybody have experience using automated yaolan? Baby need to be shaken during naps in the day now, unless fall asleep deeply. If stopped shaking, will fidget and fuss. Is it difficult to wean off the yaolan/ automated rocking? Also, will this cause any issue at night if usually he deep sleep and we carry him to cot and sleep?

hi. i was using automatic yaolan for my baby at daytime and co-sleep with us at night. no issue.

10 weeks old baby fussy nap

Dear mummies, Anyone has experience on a 10 weeks old baby, who has trouble napping? The situation is like this: He can only rely on the spring cot to sleep and whenever he uses the pacifier to soothe himself to sleep, he will smack it away or spit it out shortly after. This causes him to be awake and this cycle repeats. He is quite fussy and can’t seem to sleep for long as he will move about once the spring cot stops bouncing or whenever the pacifier is out of his mouth. Only during day naps, at night I will put him in the Love to Dream swadde and sleep in his cot once fell asleep from the sprint cot. He hates swaddling during day times.

Yes, that's totally normal. My boy hated swaddle. Everyone told us tt it'll help to calm baby down but my baby wld cry so hard and non-stop if we swaddled him up. It started when he was just 3-4wks old so we stopped swaddling him then. And nth else worked to make him sleep except for me to latch him on. Carrying and rocking didnt work at all, his automatic rocker was a huge waste of money and he outright rejected pacifier. So yes, first 3 months were exhausting for me as the only way tt he cld sleep was to latch, day naps and night time, I was literally on the bed round the clock. The only other way he'll slp on his own was in the car tt there were a few times we were at our wits' end and drove ard for an hour just to make him sleep! But somehow aft he reached 3 months, he started to learn to sleep on his own. I started to give him bottle. He wld whine and make some noises, flip and turn and not long aft we wld find him sleeping. Sometimes he wld cry but I left him to cry a lil and soon he slept. Though, I still need to latch him most of the time to sleep at 3-4 months he started to be able to slp on his own for some of his daytime naps. Now at 6 months, I only latch him to sleep at night. Don't worry, babies will learn to sleep on their own one day, some earlier, some later. Just let him sleep the way he's comfortable with for now cz baby is still learning to adapt to his env.

Feeding on demand

Hi mummies, anyone have 2 months old not on scheduled feeding? (Every 3 hourly) My boy is not hungry every 3 hourly, can go up to 4 to 5 hours drinking 60/90ml only. Is it ok? If he seems ok with weight gain and wet diapers.

Hi Angeline, If baby is gaining weight well and wetting enough diapers this should be fine. Are you breastfeeding (direct latching or expressed breastmilk) or formulae feeding? If you’re DL then ideally you would be feeding on demand. The 3 hour guide is pertaining to the maintenance of your milk supply which is supported by frequent milk removals. You could do a pump in between to build your stash and that should help. On an average, milk should be removed from the breast at least once every 3 hours.

Feeding less, sleeping more. How long will this last?

Hi. My boy is 8 weeks 4 days old today. He is sleeping well. But refuse to drink milk (formula), when given milk in between naps while awake. daily intake has dropped to about 400ml per day. Wondering how long will this phase last, as it is worrisome. Pls help, thanks!

mine too at 9 wks.. i think it due to growth spurt or leap.

2 months baby skipping feeds

Hello, anybody experience baby boy skipping feeds in the day? Please help. Daily consumption should be 750ml, but he is currently having only 500ml per day. Most feeds are at night.
