ECS ang nangyari sakin, unexpected, kaya napakabilis ng pangyayari.. Sa ER, may pa interview ang doctor in charge about my pregnancy journey and medical history. This was while waiting to be prepped for OR. Operation prep was making sure akong kinain for the past 4 hours and pinag lab gown ako. Far from what prep I was expecting (Grey's Anatomy fan). Anaesthesiologist ang first na nag handle sakin, 3 injections sa likod/spine then simula na ng pamamanhid ng waist down. Next was a nurse who came and shaved me. Dont know how this was still necesary hahaha but it happened. Catheter was inserted and then tinakpan na nila yung view ko sa operation.. I heard a light drilling sound baka ginamit sa paghiwa? At tuloy tuloy na si OB with her assistant and baby was declared out around 40mins after they started. I was awake the whole time mejo nauseaus and nasusuka while waiting. Nanginginig din katawan ko gawa daw ng aneasthesia. Took another 1 hour for OB to close me up. Nilinis muna baby ko bago kami nag skin to skin and latch. This happened in the recovery room na. Was in recovery for 2 hours. Nang makalipat sa sariling kwarto, saka ko naramdaman kati sa katawan ko around ny tummy and back. Naka higa lang ng flat at hirap makakilos. I couldn't even sit by myself until day 3 dahil sa sakit. Catheter was removed the next day. Need din maka fart and poops para malaman kung maayos function ng tummy and all. Read moreBefore pregnancy, I drank 3 liters of water a day. During pregnancy, 4 liters was my minimum goal and it went up to 5-6 liters when I felt a little under the weather. 38 weeks BPS, I was diagnosed with low amniotic fluid (7) and was advised to inform my OB right away. I didn't and instead, drank 7 liters of water the next day.. 2 days after the diagnosis I went to my OB and was asked to repeat the BPS. To my surprise and disappointment, bumaba ang level from 7 to 5 (excuse I don't know the measurement). Nag advise si OB for admission and emergency CS. I felt defeated sa role ko as a mom since I took the best care of myself during the pregnancy and was even excited for labor pain. Water didn't and couldn't help me anymore. The night before, hubby and I watched Pieces of a Woman on Netflix. Mejo may trigger warning pero maganda ang lesson for pregnant women. We have to trust our OB/midwife with our and our baby's life. I gave birth via ECS a few hours later and thank God for my safe delivery to our beautiful baby girl. When things don't turn out according our plans, take deep breaths and pray. #pregnancy #1stimemom #firstbaby #momcommunity #FTM
