how long should the baby sleep at night?

my LO is near 10 months old but he doesnt sleep like 10-12 hours through the night.. he sleeps through the night like 8 hours. Is that okay? and during the day he sleeps for an hour after lunch time and another 2 hours for around 4-6 pm. What is the sleeping chart for babies?
