Parenting Style
Hi Mommies/Mommies-To-Be, Just wondering what is your thought on "beating your kids" as part of parenting style? My husband's family is more towards using physical punishment like beating when their kids rebel. Personally, I prefer to approach it through communication and holistic view. Maybe partly because I was raised in a different style by my parents. When I saw my own brother and my sis-in-law teaching their daughter is also more with love and explanation, like treating her to be more mature in thinking not driven by fear of getting punished. I used to discuss a lot with my husband on how I wish to raise our child next time but it rarely ended up well 😂 This is because he still believes that a kid has to experience the cane pain or punishment then they'll be able to learn more. I am not sure is it because his family is dominated mostly by males, cos all he has are brothers and nephews. For now, I try not to think so much of how he'll raise our kids but I am honestly quite worried everytime I witness his brother hit his kids so hard or talking harshly. I am a believer that parents should set good examples to their kids if we want our kids to have good manners too.
Confinement Nanny Dilemma
Would it be too late to start engaging a CN after the first trimester? Heard some horror stories about incompetent nannies, and would like to seek friend/relative recommendations before engaging one. However, as I’m still at the 2nd mth mark, still keeping the pregnancy a secret hence it’s abit hard to ask for recommendations. Also worried that the CN are snapping up fast (due to potential dragon baby boom ) Such a dilemma now…

Low placenta
Hi mum, did u encounter low placenta? I'm 12 weeks pregnant, I went for scan, and the doc told me that my placenta is lying down on my c-sec scar told also it may be risk when go for operation it may be bleeding I'm worried. Need your advise. Thank u
Folic Acid
Hello, i am 12 weeks pregnant now and was wondering if i still need to eat my Folic Acid? If yes, how long more do I have to take? I really hate it because it makes me vomit every day.
Vomiting after eating
Hi mummies im at my 11 week now. Now, whenever i eat even not so full, a few minutes later i will tend to vomit everything out.. Especially during breakfast and dinner. Is it normal? Quite worrying and frustating though.. Anyone encounter?

Hungry but not able to eat whatever I want (picky eating)
Ive just stepped into my 11 week of pregnancy... Im hungry and I also need to feed my small bean inside me but Ive been super sensitive to scent which causes me to feel nauseated and lose my appetite... idk how to get nutrients in me whenever I feel hungry yet nauseated because I'd feel like throwing up. Any help I can get for this😢
Blocked nose
Been having like blocked nose in the morning and sometimes runny at night. Currently at 11 weeks 4 days. Is this normal?
