Do you have C sect when you are in labour or having contractions then go hospital to do it ?

Or you can choose a date to have C sect so you can prepare to stay in hospital first so it's not so painful and no rushing to hospital?#firsttimemom #advicepls

C Section procedure depend on individual body or what's advice by dr/gynae during your pregnancy. Elective C Section are planned birth method example due to having twins, baby's breech, you wish to have C section, baby's big, other health complications etc. For most C Section they already know their date hence they are advice to go the specific date. However, there are some whereby they go natural birth instead of their C Section due to waterbag burst, contractions came in right after, fully dilated hence they don't need to go through what has been plan earlier (this is if body cooperate and they are lucky) While on the other hand emergency c section is when all birth plan fails and you have to go emergency to save both mum and baby.

Swollen left feet.

Not painful but I worry it's DVT. Deep vein thrombosis. Anyone experienced only 1 swollen feet during pregnancy?#advicepls #pleasehelp

For mummies under KKH subsidised route, I would like to know if you have requested for hospital leave to rest before you give birth? Are the gynaes/doctors under subsidised route willing to give? Or does it depend on the gynae/doctor themselves? During my 20 week appointment I tried asking whether it’s possible to take HL before I give birth, but the doctor at that time told me to use my maternity leave instead. If possible I would like to save my maternity leave for AFTER the birth instead as I feel that every day and minute is very precious after my boy comes out. Appreciate any advices in advance!

Frustration towards my pil

I am really struggling with my parents-in-law. My feelings about them changed after the birth of our first child. I can no longer stand the sight or sound of them. Specially my mil first of all she not the one taking care of her own son when he is young who is now my husband so I kind of thinking she doesn’t know the common kid’s behaviour. Btw she doesn’t know how to cook also. All she know is taking herself well. So during my confinement she does not bother to help a bit. Me and my husband both struggle to take care our first new born specially I am in the midst of recovering from my emergency c-sect. Then whenever she and my fil came to visit my daughter for once in awhile she will complaint why does my daughter so fussy and hot tempered for example my daughter will whine after waking up from her nap. Isn’t this normal for a kid and she currently is just 2.5yo. And whenever we went out for an occasional she and my fil will feed nonsense to my daughter such as green tea, Chinese gui which is all so sweet and hard to digest for a kid. I really hate to see their face and sound. Yet my second baby is coming up in 3mths time, I start to worry my fil will put his face so near to my newborn just like what he did to my first child and spread his virus and cos he is very old he can’t carry my child properly. Feel like asking my husband to only inform them to come visit after our newborn is more stable but I don’t know how to explain to him my frustration towards them 😞

You should discuss and comes to a decision with your spouse. Ultimately, end day spouse has to give you support mentally, physically and emotionally esp after birth period. If during the confinement period is the time of no visitor and just recovery mode for you and resting mode for baby/you. Your spouse has to support you. Not to go against your PIL but if it is for the safety of NB then you should. Previously, my first born at 3 months old was contracted with Influenza A sort of sickness from adults like cough, flu, etc. So at her age no medication nothing at all. She went through fever, dehydration and therefore admitted for 3 days. So, when it comes to my second born I am very wary. Though I have my older parents, people that smoke. As much possible Ill ask them wash hand, sanitize, etc. And no kissing on face, cheeks, lips, etc. And I dont allow any outsider to visit except PIL. I am glad at this point my second born didn't fall sick except once due to fever due to viral infectious months back. All my cousin, relatives, aunts/uncles, friends only manage to see my second born after confinement and during the festive Hari Raya period. Also, I posted on social media platform of mine that no one should be kissing, hugging, etc baby during the festive visiting. I sort of hinting to them so that they know and to avoid any unnecessary sickness affecting my second born.

Lower abdomen tightness when waking up

Hello mummies, I can sleep on my sides and on my back but whenever i wake up i feel my lower abdomen so so so heavy. Does anyone experience the same? Anyway to reduce the heaviness feeling in my belly? Or should i change my sleeping position? 27 weeks now

same as me mummy i can only sleep at my left side.My lower abdomen so heavy cant walk and stand so long🥲but they say this is normal as the baby growing and heavier

Hi mummies and mummies to be! At 27 weeks, how much fetal movement do you feel? Is it frequent or do you feel it once in a while? I read that you should feel the movement every 2 hours and keep track of it. Is this what you are experiencing too? Abit worried cos that is not the case for me. Either there isnt much movement from baby or i just didnt realise or feel it. Please help! Thank u!

I'm at week 25 but also only feel my baby once in a while, certainly not every 2 hours :(

Can you take soya milk with calcium tablets?

I googled and found out that soya milk has some iron. Iron cannot be taken with calcium as it will inhibit absorption. Likewise some maternal milk also has iron. #advicepls

should take few hours apart.
