Snacking in the taxi

Hi mummies can I just ask. I was in the taxi otw home, and my 2.5 year old son was feeling hungry so I gave him a snack. Then after a while, the taxi driver said cannot eat in the taxi. (I think it is a rule that we can’t eat or drink in the taxi right? Can someone help me check?) So I said, but then a toddler is not able to tahan his hunger or thirst, so can’t he make an exception for these grp of ppl? (i.e children/elderly/sick people). Then he said again that cannot eat in the taxi cos later the food all drop, and that if my son is hungry then that is our problem. So rude of him to say this? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sorry just ranting here

I always ask for permission before I proceed to feed any food in taxi because it’s people’s car. My child has very bad motion sickness and I usually try to avoid feeding unless I have to for long journey (from east to west/jam). So far the taxi drivers are pretty nice and allowed and a few mentioned that they allowed because I asked them first. I will also assure them that I won’t leave any crumbs/mess (I use plastic bag to put on my LO’s lap and bring those snacks that don’t require breaking). And yes, according to CDG, no eating and drinking in taxi as crumbs do attract pest and since they are using the vehicle daily for long hours and picking up many people, they would naturally want to avoid having pest situation. (They also have to spend extra money to get rid of the pest/even get complaints from future passengers) In conclusion, we have to respect that it’s their vehicle so it’s best to ask them first instead. There are many understanding drivers out there :).

Leaking diaper overnight!

Hi all. My 2 years plus old son is experiencing leaking or almost full diaper overnight. This only happened recently. He used to wear a diaper from 8pm till the next day, 7 pm with no leak. Currently using Diaper drypantz. Changed to a few brands but still experience this. So, I decided to change a diaper around 9pm. It got almost full and sometimes leak, too. Help! Is it normal for boys? Any brands you'd recommend and this too happen at school. During his nap time 😬 Getting too stressed handling this issue.

hello mummy! My first born also experienced this. Even though he sleeps from 10pm till the next day, I had to change his diaper in the middle of the night to prevent leaking. As for my 2nd born who is currently 2yo, we change him 8pm and lasts till next day. I think it depends on the intake of the baby coz my 1st drinks alot of milk before he sleep (formula) while my 2nd is breastfed so it lasts till next day. As for the diaper brand we used for our 1st was huggies gold and would last for a few hrs before getting full. not rlly sure if this helps but just want to share my exp too. :) just hang in there mummy this phase will pass sooner than you know...

I’ve been having sudden nausea and vomitting, and breathlessness for the past 3 days, it’s making me feel really unwell. I’m currently at 24 weeks and worried i might be developing signs of preeclampsia 🥲 my next gynae appt is only in end march. What should I do? Go to a nearby clinic or polyclinic or A&E?

If you’re worried, just book another appointment with your gynae. If fully booked then just find another gynae. There’s a lot of gynaes in Singapore. Why make yourself worried till end March when you can find out easily.

go to your doctor. better to be safe than sorry. it's probably nothing, just uterus expansion but get checked

yes u can feel the string that mean it is in a correct place.. at times u need to check it by yrself..

Dear parents Can I check how soon you sleep train your child to sleep in their own room? My son is 2 years old, and we are kind of ready to train him as he usually sleeps thru the night. However, there are nights when he doesn't, and he will cry murder. So we didn't know if we should proceed to let him sleep alone or wait until his sleep is more regulated like ours, maybe 4 years old? Share your thoughts please or tips. :)

Pregnant but still hv period

Is anyone pregnant but still having their period? I’m about 5 months btw.

Did you get it check with your gynae as it might not be period for your case? Should not have period when you are pregnant though.

Test pregnancy at 4 months

I have a gut feeling that I might be pregnant, I think around 4 months, but I haven’t taken a pregnancy test. Will the kind of pregnancy test kit u can get from Watsons or guardian show that I’m positive? I’ve googled and have gotten answers that if you’re quite far along in pregnancy, the kit won’t show that you’re positive bcos it can’t detect the very high HCG level in your body. Should I go straight to the polyclinic to get a pregnancy blood test or should I still take the home pregnancy test kit? Anybody has been in my situation?

Test pregnancy at 4 months

For a peace of mind and confirmation, just go to any women clinic or polyclinic to take pregnancy test.
