Hi mommies Anybody here uses the iucd? Can u feel the string? Can you feel the iucd if you insert your finger higher up?

yes u can feel the string that mean it is in a correct place.. at times u need to check it by yrself..

Dear parents Can I check how soon you sleep train your child to sleep in their own room? My son is 2 years old, and we are kind of ready to train him as he usually sleeps thru the night. However, there are nights when he doesn't, and he will cry murder. So we didn't know if we should proceed to let him sleep alone or wait until his sleep is more regulated like ours, maybe 4 years old? Share your thoughts please or tips. :)

Pregnant but still hv period

Is anyone pregnant but still having their period? I’m about 5 months btw.

Did you get it check with your gynae as it might not be period for your case? Should not have period when you are pregnant though.

Test pregnancy at 4 months

I have a gut feeling that I might be pregnant, I think around 4 months, but I haven’t taken a pregnancy test. Will the kind of pregnancy test kit u can get from Watsons or guardian show that I’m positive? I’ve googled and have gotten answers that if you’re quite far along in pregnancy, the kit won’t show that you’re positive bcos it can’t detect the very high HCG level in your body. Should I go straight to the polyclinic to get a pregnancy blood test or should I still take the home pregnancy test kit? Anybody has been in my situation?

Test pregnancy at 4 months

For a peace of mind and confirmation, just go to any women clinic or polyclinic to take pregnancy test.

Hi mommies I have been giving expressed breastmilk to my newborn since birth up to 3 weeks plus, almost a month. Then I gave up simply because I am tired and formula is easier. Now my son is 2 month old.. is it still possible to relactate? As I want to give it another try. I feel like I'm not a good mother for not persevering the breast milk journey. 😕

Don’t give yourself too much pressure. Breastfeeding or formula doesn’t determine whether you’re a good mother or not. If breastfeeding is taking a toll on you, it’s totally fine to formula feed. Anyways, if you wanna give it another shot, you have to constantly pump (add in power pump if you need to) even if there’s nothing coming out. It’s gonna be tougher but this is the only way to signal your body that it needs more milk. Drink more water, take supplements and most importantly, don’t stress.

Hi all. Can I check if any of you start jogging after 6 weeks of delivery? I'm feeling good and all set to do light exercises to lose those fats gained. 🙃

21 month old doesn’t listen to us

Hi Mommies, does you 21 month old child listens to you when you scold him/her? For example, my little one throw his toys when he gets bored with them then I tell him to stop but he still continue to do it. I feel frustrated. I also let him joined a class in church; other kids listen he’s the only one keep running around the room. I feel so embarrassed and stressed. He doesn’t listen :( #baby

Postpartum Belly Band

Hi mamas, when is the best time to wear the postpartum Belly wrap for a quicker recovery of flabby stomach from childbirth? Currently am 9 days postpartum and I have started my urut massage as well. What time of the day should I be wearing the band?

I started 1 week into confinement, then confinement lady started the wrap. You can wear for as long as you can take it. I personally wear for 8-9 hours then remove and quick shower. Next day she come in the morning will bind again.

Trauma after school

Hi parents, have anyone experienced this & know what to do? My 21MO daughter recently started school in a playgroup which is for 2hours per day. Since day 1 we put her for 2hours straight alone because she seemed fine ( i should have sat in with her which i didnt ) . On day 2 & 3 she began crying badly because i heard kids were snatching her toys & pushing her. Then the episodes began... she started waking up around 2am & insist on leaving the room & she would be fine when she goes to the living room but i will have to follow, when i refuse she will go on screaming & crying for 2-3hours till she slept because shes too tired . Then we began to realise it was for all her afternoon naps & bedtime sleep.. she will not want to be inside confined in the room & repeating her crying episodes ... it is so bad that she gets so tired she fell asleep on the floor. We do not know what to do anymore...

oh ya kids snatching and pushing are inevitable. they are all learning the concept of sharing at this stage. I hope you also understand and see that from a wider perspective. perhaps go thru some stories or share with your child on hw different it is to be playing at home and school. recently my son got bite on his hand. its a young kid bites mark. I knew that my son could also be the trigger as he doesn't know how to share yet. 🤭 but again. just update teachers and slowly teach our child too. give them time and see them bloom in no time. :)
