On off morning sickness

Hi mummies! I’m on week 7 but my morning sickness comes on and off. One day i can be all nauseous and giddy, another day i just don’t feel pregnant at all. I read up in google and it says quite un-positive things. Does any of you go through the same thing too? Help a confused mummy out!

I feel you. Some days I wake up feeling not preggy at all. Some days the MS is so bad that I hardly eat anything. 😩 I’m worried too. Going to the doctor this Saturday

Hello, have anyone been to KKH as a private patient? How is Dr Serene Koh? Any other doctors would you recommend? I do not have a preferred gynae atm (I’m only at wk 7 of my pregnancy) but would look for a fixed gynae later on. TIA!

Ok to fly long distance in week 16?

I booked a holiday (it's a belated honeymoon trip!) to Finland from Singapore before I got pregnant. I would be flying when I'm 16 weeks pregnant if I go ahead with the holiday. Should I go for it or cancel it?#firsttimemom #advicepls #pleasehelp

Go for it! Week 16 is still good. But do get a green light from your gynae first

It’s not going well :(

Hi there, I just found out that I’m preggy and about 5 weeks 4 days. However I just started my new job this month and the workload is crazy and it’s going super fast pace which previously I’m ok as I’m use to it but..I’m currently experiencing bad bad changes in my body such like having a dry cough very bad dry cough, vomiting but nothing to vomit. Extreme tired. Should I let my current employers know or should I just quit and focus on the health? :(

Health is more important than anything else plus you are taking care of another life that is inside you. I think you should talk to your manager and perhaps something can be worked out

Working mum or SAHM

As a 1st time mum to be, I can’t help to wonder what will it be like being a working mum. How do you all cope as a working mum with a new born? Do you all take sabbatical leave after maternity leave?

Through my first child experience, after my ML of 4 months, I am back to work as fulltime. I only resign as FT as of May 2021 then I took PT. It wasn't easy because you are constantly worrying about your little one at home. This is despite having someone you trust to settle your little one till you are back home. Being a hotelier, I request from my superior only mid shift work to accommodate my morning routine and night routine for my little one. Otherwise, Ill be home so late at night. I take off day request /leave request only for check up or family event. This is to be fair with my other colleagues that cover for me through my ML. I don't take sabbatical leave because it wouldn't make sense to me. You will feel the urge to not go work anymore, lazy and just want to be SAHM. I am now pregnant with my second child and has fully resign due to medical reason. Of course, I feel upset and just bored right? But, I wanted to make sure that I am better and I can take care of my first child and soon, my second child. I have to be fair and make up to all the time I have been missing for my first child. The guilt of leaving your little one as a working mum will always be there but how we manage our time with our own family, friends and little one. Even being a SAHM never easy too because you have so much to do and you dont get that much rest esp if you have a clingy little one.
