Perineal cold pads TMC

Hi mummies who delivered at TMC, do you know if hospital charges extra $ for cold perineal pads? Thinking to bring my own or use the one hospital provides?

They don’t provide at TMC, you will have to get from the pharmacy downstairs or bring your own. Sis here requested for a cooling pad and was given ICE IN GLOVES. The pain from the ice contact is worse than doing without a cooling pad 😒….. so please bring yours.

EDD second baby

Hi Mummies, it's my second baby. Any idea if baby girl born before or after due date so ANXIOUSSSSS, as i'm at 35 weeks!!! And the braxton hicks comes and go often 🙃🙃🙃

It doesn’t matter girl or boy, it’s really up to your own body and baby’s cue hahah…. However most second time mummies find that baby will come earlier compared to first pregnancy.

Hi mummies! I’m almost 34 weeks and I have been experiencing really bad pelvic pain when I walk, change positions etc. It is so bad that I sometimes cry over it. Is this normal? Or should it be a concern? Any exercise that can help to lessen the pain? 🙏

Lactation consultant

Any lactation consultant to recommend? I saw posts on Sister Kang from Mt A but it’s a few years back. My milk supply 9 days post delivery is only at 10ml with no engorgement.

Hi Dear Did you pump regularly? Try to eat more fish, oats n take papaya. It works for me from each pump of 20ml till 50ml. So try to pump it every 2-3 hours

Pain in Rib Cage

Hi mummies, just wondering if y’all experience any pain in your rib cage now that baby is growing bigger? Am at 37+4 weeks and been having sharp pains at the left side of my rib cage.

Baby has no space hence you feel pain at your ribs. It is normal.

Baby hiccups a lot

I’m currently 33 weeks and notice constant pulse-like movements and most likely it’s not kicks. I googled and it says it’s the baby hiccuping. It happens at least once daily. Is this normal or worrying?

Mine few times a day. And I didn't like the feeling. Prefer baby's kick feeling.

Newborn sleeping all day

I find that my newborn (6days) is sleeping all day. She don’t wake in the morning/night. We even have to wake her up for feeds. Is this normal she is sleeping 95% of the time. #firsttimemom

NB will feel sleepy and seldom wake up for few weeks till about a month whereby their sleeping routine will change. I ever did ask doctor during check up because my firstborn wasn't like this as compared to my secondborn. Weird but different child will be different. My secondborn sleep alot which worries me, but upon checking from doctor, she mentioned no need to wake up the child to feed unless during change diaper. At this point when they wake up for diaper change, you can feed your child. However, do not wake up when not needed. They are still trynna get use to the outside world hence they are like that. You will slowly see changes in your child sleeping pattern. But on the other hand, there are some parents that do have sleeping routine for their little one including feeding time. So back to square one, entirely up to individual decision.
