Week 34 symptoms

Hi mommies, I’ve been having diarrhoea on & off lately and it’s abit uncomfortable. Does anyone experience the same in their 3rd trimester?

I'm at my week 34 too. I'm having on and off stomachache that need to go toilet and having loose stools lately. Not too sure why also. And my tummy is very hard all the time.

Is car seat compulsory in Singapore even for those without a car?

How to carry a new born home in a taxi? I don't own a car do I need to buy car seat?#adviceplease #firsttimemom #newmom

Only taxis don’t requires car seat (meaning baby can be in arms/carrier). Any other car/PHV requires a car seat(or booster seat for toddlers).

Confinement food

Is it really necessary to eat confinement food only? Or I can resume normal food but less spicy and less sugar/cold drinks.

Tbh I ordered confinement food but threw 95% of my food cause it sucks. Ended up eating my own food just avoiding cold drinks. I did drink room temp soft drinks, 3 years PP I’m still alive and kicking with no issues 🤣.

Kkh private patient A1 bedder estimated cost is that minimum or max?

During the financial counselling, I was informed being a Private patient for an A1 bedder room the estimated cost is 9487$ and 1615$ for baby and pain relief 1000$ per dose that's over 11k.

Epidural or not

Hi mummies, any of you had experiences in births with and without epidural? Will you be able to share your experience and whether you will choose to have an epidural birth or non-medicated birth, having tried both? I’m very conflicted on whether to go with epidural or without.. Thank you in advance!

Best if you allow yourself to feel the pain first and decide whether you want to use an epidural. If you can handle the contraction pain, and have your own ways to "forget" or "control" the pain, by all means theres no need to use epidural. Just a heads up, if you need epidural.. do ask for it early because once you are having late and intense labour, you can't ask for it anymore. I am giving birth in maybe 2 weeks and its my 4th child 😁 1st: No epidural because i was induced and my cervix open from 3cm to 10cm in 30 minutes. It was not advisable to use. 2nd: Took epidural. 2 hours intense labour and decided to give in but i gave birth 30 minutes later lol. Couldnt even rest 😂😂 3rd: No epidural as my cervix open fast than my 2nd birth. My waterbag burst at home. Had early contraction which was not that painful night before. Woke up with excruciating pain... called ambulance and my contraction was really close. I was 8cm open by the time i reached the delivery suite. Gave birth to my 3rd right away.

Diarrhea and itchy vulva at 37 wks pregnant

Currently starting to have loose bowel everyday and my vulva is kinda itchy but not so severe. Is there any home remedy that i can depend on or should i consult gynae again? Should i be concern or is this normal as nearing to labour? I just had my doc's appt recently last Monday.

Is it safe to eat longan fruit? I'm 34 weeks 2 days pregnant

I rmb eating them while pregnant, in moderation and I was quite conscious on monitoring my blood sugar.

Kk delivery subsidy

I just wanted to check with mummies who underwent delivery at kk for subsidy, when you managed to do a normal delivery was the stitches okay? I heard from someone their stitches weren’t sewn proper 🥴

It was okay for me. I had stitches for my 1st born as a subsidy patient in KKH but that was 10 years ago 🫠😅 Theres no harm requesting a doctor to do it for you instead of a medical student even if you are in subsidy 😁
