KKH baby rooming in

Hello Mummies, I read that most of the time in KKH baby will be rooming in with mummy. What about mummies who went through Csect and probably wont be out of bed for 24hours. Anyone went through this recently? Abit worried to be alone with baby while I can barely move about in the 1st 24 hours. #pleasehelp #firstbaby #advicepls

During my time in KKH, few of the mummies with c section are still rooming with baby. However, if require assistance they will be put in nursery while you rest. I had two/three bedding baby did not rooming in with baby as they were in recovery mode. However, those that had multiple kids and c section, they did had their baby with them. Your ward will have nurse that most time will be assisting you whether to change diaper, bottle feed, wiping baby, and if you need to pump while baby keep crying they can also assist you. They are always a call button away.

cough n poop colour

Hi my baby is currently having coughing , he coughs around 3-4times and sometimes will hear phglems. yesterday while coughing he vomitted 2 times . his temperature is normal no fever . but he has been pooping dark green colour and watery for the past 4-5days . should i be worry and bring him to doctor ? or its normal 🥴🥴

Yes of course you should. If you have not been getting any medicine you should. Aint sure what's ur baby's age but below certain months no medication, sadly. But best to go NUH kids or KKH kids to consult and ask for assistance in getting rid of the phlegm. If poop colour is green can be heaty, milk or diarrhea. So better seek help and doctor advice.

Low milk supply

Hello mummies, anyone experiencing low milk supply and how to increase it? 7 weeks postpartum but my milk supply for one day can only last for one feed and I’ve been giving formula milk for the rest of the feed. This has caused me tremendous stress as I really want to give breast milk for my child but with the low supply it’s impossible. So worries that my child might not revived the right nutrition with FM as compared to BM. Please help :(

My doctor gave me domperidone pills, it helps though I don’t pump religiously (doing mixed feeding) Fed is best!

Newborn tongue wipe

Can i use pigeon baby tooth and gum wipes on my newborn? It stated there 6months above.

best to use water to wipe for newborns.

Is my baby sleeping too much?

Not sure if this is considered a good problem, but my 5 week old baby is sleeping for >3h each stretch, even during the day. Should I wake her up for feeds and/or play time? She currently sleeps for 3-4h, wake up for milk, then falls back asleep after. Only time she is awake is if we head out for lunch - for such instances, she is usually awake during the entire duration of 2-3h, then is back to her 3-4h sleep times once we are home. Or is my lunch time considered her “play time”, so it’s ok to let her sleep according to her own schedule?

yes it’s ok to follow her cues. you can wake her up for feed or even dream feed her

Carry one month old baby

Anyone has issue carry one month old?my one month old doesn’t feel comfortable whenever i carry her. But whenever i pass her to my nanny, she is stopped crying immediately. #firsttimemom

be confident and provide support for her neck and back. babies can feel it if you’re not confident and hence feel uncomfortable when you carry her

Doubts on starting back breastfeeding

I stopped breastfeeding for about 1 month+ ago & currently giving my child formula milk (i tried to breastfeed him for 4 days by pumping after giving birth to him) but my baby boy keeps on hitting his head against my chest & grasps my breast when i'm not fully dressed as if he wants me to breastfeed him coz i still have some milk in my body however i'm having doubts right now if i should as it's been awhile i stopped coz i can't get him to latch as my nipple is sunken in also i don't know what i can consume if i'm breastfeeding coz i don't want eat to affect him making my son fall ill so i'm really feeling a lot of doubt & guilt whenever he cries & does as described 😔❤️‍🩹❤️👶🏻#advicepls

You can try using nipple shields if u wanna try breastfeeding. :)

Mixing formulas of different brands

Can anyone pls kindly advise if there's a magic formula to mix both Grow and Similac, as in the number of scoops or % between the two that can go into a baby bottle to achieve maximum or optimal gains for a 2-month old newborn?

best not to mix formula.
