Hi everyone, we had bought a baby cot during October's baby fair and only after talking to a friend, she suggested we get an additional mobile baby cot or napper which can be pushed around the house... any experienced parent can advise if this is necessary? We are planning to place the one we ordered (immobile cot) in the nursery as we don't have space in our master room to place the big cot. Means we will have to get a smaller bassinet / mobile cot for room / living room area... #baby #mum #cot #sleep #bassinet #advicepls TIA!

i not getting mobile cot. house space issue. instead i get a electric rocker that can be pushed around easily

Is week 39 too late for elective c-section?

Hi mummies, I am a FTM and planning to schedule an elective c-section on week 39+1. Do you think it is too late? I am worried that baby will come out naturally before that. Please kindly share your experience. On which week do you schedule your c-section?

just checked with my gynae today. she said if labour earlier than scheduled csec and i continue to choose csec, it will be considered as emergency csec :( so she said she will schedule me 1-2 weeks earlier than edd. any day aft that will be too late

C-sec delivery at TMC

Hi Everyone, I'm 34wks and will have c-sec at TMC soon. During the hospital tour, the information about C-sec pretty nothing. Would like to ask if anyone know how long have to wait in observation room after the op before can go back to my room with baby? Can hubby enter the op room? After the operation, can my family visit immediately or only the day after? TMC accepts payment by cards or cash only? Thank you very much.

I currently 34 weeks as well and will c-sec at TMC. But my previously pregnancy I give birth in Thailand. Op session about 30 mins only. We can do pre admit at TMC and need to put cash deposit. I am not sure how much. I booked 4 beds. Rmb to bring the package bill to do deduction for Medisave. For visitor if you booked share room like me they allowed to have 2 visitor per time, timing is 13:00-20:00 daily. Anyone experience C Sec birth in Mt Alvernia?

Hi Mommies, This is my first time delivering in MT A for a C sec birth. I would like to find out how’s the experiences for mommies who also had their csec birth with them? Will they provide binder, compression socks or do I need to ownself purchase?

How to change to private just for labour?

Hi, I’m in my 29th week and I am thinking to change to private patient just for the labour as I want to have a female doctor to assist with my delivery but how do I make the change? Can anyone advise please. #kkhpatient

not sure if u can just change during labour. i understand from my friend they usually switch to private at the last few appt to secure the gynae because u duno when u will go into labour

I’m pissed and annoyed at OBGYN comments today. Immediately she brought up induction and over exaggerated (IMO) baby to be 4kg by full term? I’ve already done induction for first child because I didn’t know much and it was a failure at KKH because they didn’t let me move or stretch to help with the mild contractions. My contractions went away and I lied down for almost 8 hours???? Obviously no progress lah even after breaking my water bag manually. That’s KKH for you. Tie you down like prisoner. Want to go toilet also don’t allow. So now I’m trying NUH for VBAC and I hear the word induction again. Wah, I’m fuming and disappointed! My husband and I are both tall. My first baby is 3.6kg at 39 weeks.

yes sgh is the same. i had induction and they dont allow me to move around at all. i was literally on the bed throughout the contractions and have to pee on the bed! it was horrible and took so damn long to dilate...

GDM - How to lower fasting blood sugar?

Pre and post meal glucose levels are fine. Fasting blood is still within range but nearer to the higher side 5.3, 5.4mmol. How did you lower ur fasting blood sugar to 5 and below?

Some people are just genetically less tolerant to glucose. If your baseline is 5.3 or 5.4 post fasting then that’s probably what your body is capable of.

29 weeks and suffering

Anyone at 29 weeks and feeling extremely uncomfortable? I feel like my tummy is at my diaphragm and everytime I eat, my stomach feels super tight and uncomfortable. Also I've been experiencing random knee cramps at night. Sometimes it's so severe that I wake up and it hurts terribly to move my leg. Is that normal?

Baby too big in my tummy

Hi mommies! Just want to ask aside from diet, what else can i do to at least slow down my baby growing big in my tummy? My Ob said my baby is 1 month bigger his age. Im scared and dont want to go CS. Been on a diet already for 3 months now but seems baby keeps on growing. #advicepls #firstmom #firsttimemom

If baby doesnt grow then its worse right… i talked to my baby and ask him eat lesser of my food 😅 anyway the size is always an estimation.
