Co-sleeping with my almost 7 month old baby girl and her nighttime feedings
Hi. So my husband and I have been co-sleeping with our almost 7 month old daughter since she was 1 1/2 month old. Whenever she gets up at night, I just usually pull my shirt up and open my bra and nurse her lol. Everything has been smooth sailing since I started this routine but lately I’ve been going to bed exhausted and feeling a bit more exhausted when my baby cries beside me. Don’t get me wrong, I love her so much that I’m willing to d*e for her but my body isn’t cut out for long time feedings in a side-lying position. One time I get up to feed her (the normal way) but I was too sleepy that my husband woke me up because our daughter is at an angle where she could slip through my arms and fall down to the floor. I’d rather hurt my back and neck than to put her in a bad position. Anyway, back to the problem, I’m trying to eliminate her nighttime feeds since I started giving her solids (1-2 tbsps three times a day) and formula (2 oz lang and given together with her solids only) and the rest is direct latching. I read that when a baby feels full the entire day then that would eliminate the nighttime feeds. Idk if I should do something to help her?? Or should I just trust the process? Also, I don’t like the idea of letting her cry throughout the night. Any tip is welcome and greatly appreciated! #firsttimemom #pleasehelp
