- 2024-11-18I am going for induced labour this Thurs. The last few days I have been tearing when I think of my baby leaving my tummy soon. I can't wait to see her but I am going to miss her and her movements in my tummy so much. It has been a wonderful pregnancy journey with her. I think I'm going to miss pregnancy... š„²

- 2024-11-18Hi, currently pregnant baby#3. For my #1, I failed the glucose test n had GDM. For my 2nd, I also had GDM but my results were higher than 1st. I took metformin for 2nd pregnancy. Now I'm worried for the 3rd pregnancy I just found out I'm pregnant.
1st baby: didn't do postpartum test (can't rmb if required to test but need to aft 1yr of giving birth) but was pregnant b4 1yr
2nd baby: do postpartum test and result still showed I failed. So the nurse told me to follow up 1yr at polyclinic, pregnant again b4 1yr test
Is it possible for my 3rd if I didn't get GDM? I'm currently trying to limit my diet n try to take lesser carbs whenever I can. I'm also eating in lesser portion now. GDM really makes me feel so useless as a mom. I know it's caused by hormones n placenta but I can't help feeling so down abt it. Is there any other way to help bring down the sugar levels without relying just on meds? And also is it possible if I had GDM again but don't require to take metformin?
- 2024-11-18As my bb grows older, my in laws have been dropping hints they want to bring her out when she is older or take care of her. However, I am against it unless my husband is there with her. I just donāt trust them enough. Thereās many reasons for me to be feeling this way.
To name a few, my in laws make fun of my babyās name, my in laws always pass comments that are negative to my baby such as she is a crybaby and even bad comments to me and my mil likes to run her mouth like of all the things she could say to a baby she choose to say shit things? I did have several arguments with my husband about how he should manage his mother. And he did all he can but his mother head is harder than a rock. Im not surprised if my husband ever tell her off she would cut off ties with him lol.
Anyway, aside from all of that my mil donāt listen to me when I tell her to pass me the baby back when my baby clearly donāt want her, or when I tell my mil things to take note of when handling the bb like how my bb likes to be carried and all. Im not being controlling but my mil really thinks she know it all. Im the one who take care of my baby of course I know and I wouldnāt ask her to do it in a certain way if my baby is fine? But my baby is hysterically crying.
From the day I gave birth to this very day, she make me feel miserable. I also know she will go against whatever my husband and I tell her if we leave our baby there.
My baby has eczema so oats and rice are not recommended to be fed as of now. My MIL thinks she is a doctor and thinks my baby can be fed that. I always have to tell her many times DONāT DO THIS AND THAT.
Trust me I respect my in laws, never once raised voice whatsoever, I always end up crying after I meet them , but I feel like I tolerated way too much. I can only hold in so much. The only reason I am still seeing her is because I pity my husband. He told her off many times nicely, but she is stubborn as heck.
Anyway, this is just a rant. I hate how before I was pregnant and was pregnant, she kinda left me alone but after baby comes out she becomes nosy. Actually, when it took my husband and I some time to have our baby, she passed comment on how I should fix myself to get pregnant lol. Anyway, also my in laws see my daughter as a product to show off. Post my baby face here and there without asking. Want to bring her out and take care of her when she is bigger. They only want her when its convenient for them. They did nothing to support me and my husband after I gave birth. Only give me depression. Hate is a strong word but I think I have finally hate them.

- 2024-11-18Hi mummies, Iām currently 40 weeks and 2 days pregnant, 3cm dilated but not yet in active labor. So far, I havenāt experienced any contractions not even Braxton Hicks contractions, just a slight pressure in my pelvic area. Iāve scheduled an induction at 41 weeks, but Iām feeling so anxious. I really hope to avoid being induced or needing a c-section.
If youāve been in a similar situation, Iād love to hear your experiencesāanything to help ease my mind. I know some women naturally go into labor even well past their due dates, so Iām holding onto hope!š®āšØš«¶

- 2024-11-19Hoping for some emotional support!
Have been nervous and anxious for my 2nd doctor's appointment tomorrow. Last one was 2 weeks ago where based on LMP suppose to be 6w6d but scan shows 5weeks+. Doctor asks to come back two weeks later and hoping can see my baby's heartbeat tomorrow.
Had a missed miscarriage last year for my 1st pregnancy at 7w+. Maybe this adds to my anxiousness. Plus not been experiencing much symptom except a little sore nipples and boobs, frequent peeing (maybe because I drink more water too) and occassionally fatique.
Hoping some mummies who were in similar boats for some inspiration and support. Thanks! #ultrasound #7week
- 2024-11-19Hi Mummies, I gave birth recently and am currently doing confinement. Having to latch, breastfeed, recovery while coping with lack of sleep is really exhausting. On top of that, my husband isn't taking initiative to help out. I am someone who is relatively independent and if it's possible, I very much do things on my own when I can. But because I am in recovery, it's tough to bend or do any cleaning etc. I was also advised to rest more after delivery. Every time will need to request for help before he does anything. I'm so exhausted about everything..

- 2024-11-20I am only 6 weeks coming to 7, thinking when is the right time to look for confinement nanny.
- 2024-11-20My husband just started his new job three weeks ago and will not be getting any paternity leave as Iām due in two weeks.
He has been working 730am to 8pm and while I really want to support him, Iām getting more anxious now as baby will be popping anytime soon. Heās usually very tired and will just zone out after work.
We had the initial plan that he will take no-pay leave during the first month. Seems like his boss had actually fought for him to get leave and has suggested that he use some of the prorated leave to take just two weeks, and can consider either work-from-office / work-from-home for the rest.
I did initially agree with the idea but after seeing how it is the past two weeksā¦..Iām now worried. I do still hope that he will still be hands on and not just pass things to myself or our newly-hired (and yet to arrive) helper.
Anyone has any suggestions how I can overcome these feelings of uncertainty and anxiety? :(
