With our first child, my wife had issues with pumping enough milk due to the pressure/performance of those breastpumps she tried. Has anyone used a non-hospital-grade breastpump that worked perfectly fine?

The most recommended pump in the breastfeeding mummy groups is the spectra - if she is going back to work I recommend the freemie as well. Btw their are three versions of the Spectra pump - the biggest version (s1) is hospital grade and can be bought from LAZADA direct from Korea. Takes a week to ship.
