When should start BLW?

You can start between 6 to 8 months. Like what Yuna mentioned, baby has to be able to sit unassisted, lost his/her tongue thrust reflex and able to grasp and hold small pieces of food. You can start with foods that are soft-cooked and cut or mashed into small easily manageable pieces. Always be around while baby is trying to feed himself/herself as there is always a risk of choking associated with baby-led weaning.

What if my Lo 6 months she can't sit unassisted yet? Should I start BLW later?

I would think that it is better to wait then. At six months old, even if a parent is starting with BLW, feeding of solids is still introductory and the main source of nutrients is still the breast (or formula) milk. Hence, it is better to wait till your little one is ready. :)

Babies should be at least 6 months if you wish to use the BLW method of introducing solid foods. Your baby should be able to sit up unassisted and should be able to grasp and hold onto foods.

start blw when baby is able to sit upright without support - typically 6mos onwards. can be later
