What do you do when your kid throws tantrums coz you don’t buy him/her the toy being pointed at during shopping spree?

Don't ever give in. The moment you give in, it's over. Your kid will then do it every single time he wants you to get a toy. Be very firm and tell him that if he doesn't stop his tantrums, he will not only miss out on this toy, but all other toys in future. It's important to stick to your guns so your child knows that you mean business. Throwing tantrums is not the correct way to express his desire for something. Also, children tend to appreciate the things that they have worked for.
