Gagging, as opposed to choking, is actually a safety response to when the food in baby's mouth goes too far back in his mouth, So when we see our babies gagging they are actually "dealing" with the problem and it’s best just to keep calm and wait until it passes. It will be messy and noisy but those are all okay. When a child chokes, warning bells should go off in your head. Choking is a silent killer -- so keep an eye on your child.
