all my kids have dry skin and eczema. i tried all brands of bath and lotions. what works for them is few pumps of QV bath oil in their bath when their skin gets too dry. soak them in the tub not more than 10mins . dont have to rinse just pat dry. after draining the oily water, ur bathroom floor will be slippery so need to spray off alittle. then we use physiogel lotion or cream depending on the dryness of the skin. its not just about the lotion but also the type of bath or shower gels that u use for ur baby. read the ingredients, avoid those that contain fragrance. water temperature in bath shud not be too hot or cold and duration not more than 10mins. use mild or plant based laundry detergents for baby sensitive skin and only use cotton materials for baby clothings.

I think physiogel is the recommended cream from PD . The texture is quite thin and it doesn't have steroids. They have a Physiogel AI version which is used for times when the eczema flares up. QV Baby cream is also good for baby with sensitive skin. Always apply a thin layer of cream and use cream that has no steroids. QV also has a range of bath cream which is good as well. Personally I don't like cream that has a very strong fragrance although it makes baby smell nice but Fragrance are all chemicals as well.

If it is just dry, QV or Cetaphil will suffice. But if there is red, crusting or oozing with pus, Atopiclair is recommended. It might sting a little (Atopiclair) if applied on ezcema flares but it is really good. My dau tried california baby, QV, Emu Oil, Physiogel Ai cream when she had ezcema flares but all made it worse n the area spread for a few months before I found Atopiclair. Then it cleared up in 2 weeks...much to my relief!

I tried many brands to be frank, what works for me. May not work for your child. It really depends. So far, i have tried physiogel, Ezerra, Cetaphil, QV, Calendula Cream, nothing seemed to work. Now i stick with coconut oil, cheap, gopd, long lasting, safe easily purchasable.

I use baby oil to give a massage and leave a few minute before bath, not only make the baby skin soft it’s also moisture it. And don’t add any soap while bathing, just a plain warm water for bath.

I use Mustela lotion. easily absorbed and moisturises my baby girl. I also use the Jo Lauren miracle balm on her (comes in a stick like our regular lip balm).
