Fruits and vegetables with high vitamin c content ought to do the trick against warding off colds and coughs eg oranges, leafy greens, apples etc. Lean proteins also help because they help in the creation of white blood cells. White blood cells keep the viruses at bay and in turn keeps your child healthy :)
