Flu and cough

Is it safe for pregnant ladies in first trimester to eat panadol and over the counter cough syrup for cold and cough? If no, what are some remedies that we can try?

Never ever attempt to self mediate while being pregnant especially in the 1st trimester. Don't buy over the counter meds too w/o any prescription. Very risky for your pregnancy. You have no idea if it's suitable for pregnant woman or not. Better see a dr. Cold and cough is very common in the 1st trimester as your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes. Cover yourself. Drink hot drinks. Shower with warm water (not hot). This phase will subside when you reach the 2nd trimester.

do consult your gynae or gp for medication. they will have med that is safe for preggy. I had frequent on off sinus (flu) n cough throughout my 1st tri for 2 pregnancy. relied on these medication if not very xin ku

please seek a doctor for this.. 1st trim are usually unstable imo. so do not eat any medication w.o doc advise. Get plenty of rest too!

Not wise to self medicate now, best to see doctor and inform him about your pregnancy 👍👍
