spotting and tummy cramp after taking progesterone medication

went to consult a doctor regards to mild spotting and stomach cramp ( still in my 1st trimester) . Did blood test and it shows my progesterone count is low . scans done , baby is fine heart beat still present n all . after consuming the medication notice mild spotting and tummy cramp. Has anyone encounter sucha situation like this
