Travelling with my baby for the first time and she's on formula. Will they allow me to bring my own hot water and can I bring baby formula on a plane?

No issues with bringing hot water and a bottle of cooled water onboard. usually they're cool when they see a baby with you :)

You can carry your own formula. There is no problem with that. They will give you hot water on board...
