Birthday toddler

Do toddlers 2years old remember if we celebrate their birthday? My husband is not in favour of celebrating it cos he said my son wont remember .. What do u all think?

I read somewhere that children can only remember after the age of 3 years old. Celebrating birthdays before they can remember is a way for us to keep them as memories together. So why not? My twin niece & nephew are 4 and they can remember what happened the week before and even some outings they had a few months back because they would be describing the exact event that happened. But they don’t know how to use the word “last month” or “last week” etc. They would just be saying “yesterday” or “that day”. Hahaha. 😝

they may not remember but at least there are photos or videos which can refer to in the future.. may not need to do big celebration, just within yourselves.. anyway it's still up to you and husband to decide

That may not be a memory to him. but that can be a happy moment for him.

he may not remember but it's good to create memories, even in photographs
