I had tt during my 1st pregnancy and doc said likely carpal tunnel syndrome. I hD to wear wrist braces. My job requires to write alot and pregnancy cld make u retain more fluid and ligaments softer. It only goes away after 6 months post partum cz tt's also when breastfeeding reduced so didnt need to hold baby as much. I seem to be getting it again now. Currently in my 2nd pregnancy at 20 wks.
it’s called tendonitis and very common among pregnant and pp mummies. you’re doing the right thing - i was diagnosed with severe tendonitis and the only cure is to rest your wrist straight as often as possible, don’t bend beyond 45deg angle. the only other thing to help is a wrist guard. do take care as pp carrying newborn may worsen it.
