First trimester visits under subsidized route is 70-90$ per visit, which includes an ultrasound, urine test, and Dr consult. Second trimester visits are 40+$ per visit, because they do not do ultrasounds anymore (even if you request for it). Antenatal blood tests are about 100+$. NIPT test is 100+ for Oscar and 700+ for I-gene. Detailed scan is around 60+$ if I remember correctly. I was under private gynae and gave birth at a private hospital for my firstborn, so I can't advise on private in NUH. However, I wasn't able to accept that there are so few detailed scans and the machines are so old to even do clearer detailed scans at public healthcare. I am also feeling very anxious that I can't track my fetus's growth at all, along with other factors. I'm going back to my private gynae after I'm done with my gestational diabetes test here.
Prof citra! I went subsidised and only changed to private for delivery and got Prof Citra. But if I were to be pregnant again, I will go private with Prof Citra instead. No issue with subsidised route, just that I felt that I realised different gynaes had different thoughts of when I should deliver since I was to be induced 😂 That put me in a rollercoaster of emotions the last few weeks of pregnancy!
I started with NUH subsidised and switched over to private NUH at 24w with Dr Sarah Li. Now at 38w and had been enjoying my visits! Short and sweet usually but she is really patient and approachable. She entertains all my questions if I have any 😂 Will recommend to get the package with the 20w and 32w scans because it’s really cheaper overall!
