Dishes to Avoid at Coffeeshops & Hawker Centres? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‹

Are there any dishes you mummies avoid during pregnancy when dining out or dabao-ing from hawker centres and coffeeshops? Or do you continue eating our local delights (e.g laksa, char kway teow, chicken rice, bakchormee, hokkien prawn mee, mee rebus, nasi lemak, mee siam, wanton mee, carrot cake etc etc...*SLURPS*๐Ÿ˜‹) as per normal? So far I've only steered clear of herbal chicken soup and herbal bak but teh, not very sure of the rest. #1stimemom

Im at 6 weeks now and still eat as per normal, just avoid half-cooked or uncooked food eg half boiled eggs, cockles, half cooked bean sprouts or blanched veggie. I also cut down on cooling stuff like barley, coconut water, chrysanthemum tea etc to avoid inducing miscarriage :) all those mee rebus, laksa, char kway teow etc I still eat but in moderation, as first trimester gynae told me dun gain weight haha. hope this helps!

Yea it helps! Thanks! :) I didn't know about barley and blanched veggies! Also didn't know we shouldn't gain weight in 1st tri -- I did ask my gynae if I need to monitor my weight gain, he said no need. ๐Ÿค”
